We're now less than a month away from Selection Sunday, so every game is a crucial piece of each team's resume. The Gophers got the job done at Northwestern, despite not playing their best game. The Wildcats really lost the game more than Minnesota won it. Their top scorer on the season, Drew Crawford, went 1 for 15 and the team shot barely 30%.
Both of the Michigan teams fighting for the top Big10 spot lost yesterday. A hot Wisconsin team beat Michigan fairly easily in Ann Arbor, and much more surprisingly, the Huskers added a major resume booster with a win over Michigan State in East Lansing. Nebraska could very easily make a move into the field over the next couple weeks, with their next five games coming against beatable opponents. If they can win four of them, they'll have a 10-7 Big10 record, RPI north of 40, and SOS in the top 30...easily tournament numbers.
